Important information about Bingo
The annual Band/Orchestra budget generally runs from $50,000 to $100,000 for the overhead and expenses of running the program. The most important source of general fund money to cover these expenses comes from the Band Booster’s Bingo operation. The State of Colorado allows non-profit charitable groups to organize, operate, and use the proceeds of Bingo games and raffles to fund general operating expenses. The funds cannot go to a specific person, but every band student benefits from these funds.
The revenue generated through Bingo contributes over $1,000 per student to the program. Without Bingo, the costs would be passed directly to the students, creating a huge financial burden and probably the end of the Northglenn Band Program. One night each month for students and parents is a bargain!
Northglenn High School Band Boosters operate bingo sessions every Friday night year-round. Participation in Bingo is expected: each student and at least one parent are expected to work one night each month. Students are required to
be at the hall from 6:00pm until about 9:45pm for setup, working the Bingo session, and cleanup. (If a second Friday night session is held, students will work until 12:15am.) Parent workers are encouraged to work the same night as their children.
The Sunday weekly email will include a list of volunteers who are schedule to work the next Friday evening. If a
student or parent knows he/she will be absent, it is the student and parent's responsibility to find a replacement to fill his/her spot or trade days and then notify the Bingo Chair at nghsbb.bingo@gmail.com.

Yes, Bingo is necessary to help fund our music program, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun working it. You learn important real world skills working with money and how to give great customer service. You get to know your teammates better and get to know your regular customers. We'd love to show off your bingo sessions.
